CONNECTION

COMMUNITY

A connected route can provide safer options for people walking, biking, and rolling through the community.

Town to Lakes can connect neighborhoods, schools, businesses, parks, and recreation areas.

Connected trails support everyday transportation, recreation, tourism, and a more pedestrian-friendly Pagosa.

THE VISION
Town to Lakes has long been identified as an important community connection between Pagosa Springs and the lake corridor.
THE CHALLENGE
The original concept and cost assumptions have evolved, creating an opportunity for a more practical, phased approach.
THE PRIORITY
DUST2 is focused on advancing achievable segments that provide meaningful connectivity and safety.
THE NEXT STEP
Build community support and work with local and regional partners toward design, funding, and construction.

Our Current Priority

The Town of Pagosa Springs is currently working on the engineered design for the 10th Street – Great West Ave segment of the Town to Lakes Commuter trail. Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) funds were awarded to the Town for design and partial construction.
